Still White

Well what can I say?? We had about a foot of snow, the 3/4 inch of ice, then another foot or more of snow. about 10 inches on Monday. It is just white everywhere. We ventured out yesterday to try to get a little shopping done. I think the fastest we went was 40mph on the freeway. Everywhere else we went 20mph and it felt so fast. We Oregonians are not equipped for this much snow. This is the view out our front.Nathon in the hot tub.Sofie in the snow.Nathon's snow angel. My car.
More picts later. Love you all.

We had 5 inches of snow on Sunday. Church was canceled. They just closed school for tomorrow too. It is sooo cold here. Highs of 22 degrees. Brrrrr. A few pictures of our Winter Wonderland.
I took this through the fogged up glass on our back door.

Sunrise

I am privileged to see the sunrise (when it is not raining) almost every day as I take Brandyn to Seminary at 6:45am. Here are a few recent ones.

This was one afternoon. Doesn't it look like it is floating?

Welcome...

We have 2 new additions to our family. The first is Sofie. Sofie was rescued from a dumpster and is very feisty, fun cat. Her attitude is "I lived in a dumpster, you can't hurt me!"
Next is Lila. Lila is 1 1/2 yrs old. She is gentle and lovey.
As you can see, we are having a lot of fun!!!

This weekend I am modeling in the Portland Bridal Fair. I will add picts later. Just wanted to post a quick update.

Outdoor School

The second week of September I was able to go to outdoor school in Fossil, Oregon with Nathon and his 6th grade class. We left Monday morning, and came back Friday evening. What a beautiful week. Temps in the 90's and up. Clear skies. Lots of hiking and learning. Here are a few highlights. We had lunch at the Dalles Dam. Here is Mt. Hood from the east side.We were off and hiking right awayMorning Hikes at 6:30am.
The bug Nathon caught for creek exploration.By the creek
Red Hill where we earned our stripes for learning about the soil that was rich in iron.
Our group in the "amphitheater"
looking up inside the amphitheaterThe sky was sooo blue.
We took a field trip to look for fossils in Fossil, OR. We each got to take some home. Then we went to the museum in town after lunch. There was a petrified tree just out on one of our hikes from camp
We got to climb a rock wall which Nathon did blindfolded. (not me)
Yep, I even climbed the wall. My first time ever doing that. I thought it would be hard or scary. It was a little bit of work, but fun.
Our last morning we saw 4 mule deer. It was the only time I didn't have my camera glued to me. I ran back to my cabin and got it, and luckily, the deer were still there.
All in all it was an amazing week!!
